The APMD3D1 is a non-contact inductive proximity sensor engineered for industrial automation. It generates an electromagnetic field to detect the presence of ferrous and non-ferrous metal targets within its 2.5mm range, providing a reliable switching signal without mechanical contact or wear. The sensor features a robust polyalylate resin housing and sensing face, offering resistance to industrial contaminants and mechanical stress.
Operating from a 12-24V DC supply, the PNP normally-open output can sink up to 30mA, making it directly compatible with programmable logic controller (PLC) digital inputs and other control circuitry. Built-in protection features, including short-circuit and overload protection, ensure operational reliability and longevity in demanding applications such as machine tools, material handling, and automated assembly lines.
