Description

The M5Stack PWRCAN 13.2 Module is a specialized industrial communication interface designed to bridge ESP32-S3-based IoT systems with robust fieldbus networks. It integrates signal and power isolation to protect sensitive microcontroller logic from high-voltage transients and ground loops common in industrial environments. The module’s core processing is handled by the ESP32-S3, featuring a dual-core Xtensa LX7 processor and 8 MB of flash memory, enabling it to run complex protocol stacks, perform data aggregation, and connect via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

Its communication backbone consists of two fully isolated CAN channels and one isolated RS485 channel, driven by industry-grade CA-IS3050G and CA-IS3082W transceivers respectively. This isolation ensures reliable data transfer in electrically noisy settings. The board accepts a wide 9-24V DC input through multiple connector types (HT3.96, XT30), which is then converted to a clean, isolated 5V supply for the host controller. Physical DIP switches allow for flexible pin mapping and termination resistor selection, simplifying integration into existing CAN or RS485 networks without requiring soldering.
