Description

The M5Stack Scroll Unit is a specialized HMI expansion module designed to add precise rotary encoder control to IoT and embedded systems. It integrates an EC10E hollow shaft encoder, a tactile push-button, and an addressable RGB LED, all managed by an onboard STM32F030 microcontroller. This architecture offloads the complex task of quadrature decoding, providing clean, readable encoder counts and button states directly over a simple I2C bus.

Engineered for seamless integration, the unit communicates via a standard 4-pin Grove connector, making it compatible with the M5Stack ecosystem and other development boards supporting I2C.
