Description
The Arducam NOIR 8MP camera module is engineered for developers and makers requiring robust, dual-mode vision capabilities on the Raspberry Pi platform. At its core is the Sony IMX219 8-megapixel color CMOS sensor, which provides high-resolution still imaging and smooth video capture up to 1080p at 30 fps. The integrated motorized IR cut filter is the key differentiator, enabling automatic switching between standard color reproduction during the day and high-sensitivity infrared imaging for night vision applications, all controlled via software.
Housed with a standard M12 lens mount, the module offers exceptional flexibility. The included LS1820 lens provides a 100-degree horizontal field of view, but the system can be adapted with a vast selection of M12 lenses to achieve different focal lengths, depths of field, and perspectives—from wide-angle to telephoto. This makes it an ideal sensor for Raspberry Pi-based projects in security, machine vision, smart agriculture monitoring, and ambient light sensing where environmental conditions vary.
