Description

The OV5647 5MP IR-Cut Camera is a dedicated CSI-interface module designed for Raspberry Pi single-board computers. It features a 1/4-inch OV5647 CMOS sensor capable of capturing 5-megapixel stills (2592×1944) and streaming 1080p video at 30 frames per second. The integrated IR-Cut filter mechanically switches to block infrared light during daytime operation, preventing color distortion and producing true-to-life images.

For low-light or nighttime monitoring, the module includes manual control circuitry. An onboard adjustable resistor lets you set an ambient light threshold, enabling the manual switching of externally attached IR LEDs. Dedicated screw terminals provide 3.3V to 5V power output for these LEDs, facilitating night vision setups without requiring additional driver boards. The module operates on a 3.3V supply from the Raspberry Pi’s CSI connector and comes with a 14cm 15-pin FFC ribbon cable for flexible mounting.
