Description

The Arducam 1080P Day & Night Vision MIPI Camera Module is engineered for demanding embedded vision applications requiring reliable performance in varying light conditions. At its core is the Sony STARVIS IMX290 CMOS sensor, a 1/2.8-inch optical format starlight sensor with 2.9µm pixels optimized for high sensitivity. This allows the module to capture clear Full HD video at 60 frames per second even in near-darkness, making it a robust solution for continuous monitoring.

Integration is streamlined via the native MIPI CSI-2 interface, which connects directly to the Raspberry Pi’s camera serial interface. The module is powered at 3.3V with a low 0.9W power consumption, suitable for portable or battery-powered setups. The fixed-focus M12 lens provides a stable 102-degree diagonal field of view, and the manual IR-Cut switch allows developers to optimize the sensor for daytime color accuracy or nighttime IR-enhanced monochrome imaging without requiring external filters.
