Winsen MC115 Catalytic Combustible Gas Sensor Pair Module
The Winsen MC115 is a catalytic combustion sensor module designed for detecting a wide range of combustible gases including methane (natural gas), LPG, CO, and alkanes. It provides a linear voltage output proportional to gas concentration, suitable for integration into industrial gas detectors, alarm systems, and concentration meters.
Features
- Catalytic combustion sensing principle for reliable detection of combustible gases.
- Linear voltage output (20-40 mV/1% CH4) with ≤5% linearity for accurate concentration measurement.
- Robust metal encapsulation for durability in industrial environments (-40°C to +70°C).
- Fast response (≤10s) and recovery (≤30s) times for 90% of full scale.
- Simple drive circuit with integrated test and temperature-compensating reference elements.

The Winsen MC115 sensor operates on the catalytic combustion principle. Its sensing bridge consists of a test element and a compensating element. When combustible gases contact the active test element, its resistance increases, causing a proportional change in the bridge output voltage relative to gas concentration. The compensating element provides critical temperature and humidity compensation, ensuring stable readings across varying environmental conditions.
This sensor is engineered for industrial safety applications, offering excellent repeatability, selectivity, and resistance to common interferents like H2S and organosilicone compounds. Its metal housing ensures long-term stability and protection, making it a core component for fixed gas detection systems requiring reliable performance over an extended lifespan.
