Description

The SIM800C GPRS/GSM Shield is a dedicated cellular interface module designed for Arduino and compatible microcontroller platforms. It integrates the robust SIM800C quad-band transceiver, providing reliable GSM phase 2/2+ connectivity for SMS messaging, voice calls, and GPRS data services. The shield communicates via a simple serial TTL or RS232 interface, making it programmable through standard AT commands from your host controller.

Engineered for flexible deployment, the board includes comprehensive audio provisions with a two-in-one headset jack, microphone input, and a speaker driver. Visual status is provided through three dedicated LEDs for power, module status, and network registration. Its low-power architecture supports a sleep current of approximately 0.6mA, making it suitable for remote, solar-powered, or battery-operated IoT telemetry and alerting systems.
