The Moonlex Daylight Sensor operates as a light-activated relay, utilizing a photoconductive cell to sense ambient illumination. When light levels drop below the preset 5LUX threshold, its internal switching mechanism closes to power the connected AC load. Conversely, when ambient light rises above 15LUX, the circuit opens, cutting power to conserve energy.
Built with an IP44-rated enclosure, the sensor is protected against splashing water and solid objects larger than 1mm, ensuring reliable performance in outdoor environments like gardens, pathways, and building perimeters. Its direct 220V AC operation and 6A current capacity allow it to control standard lighting fixtures without requiring an intermediate relay or controller.
