The PST-FH400A operates as a combined reed switch and photodetector module. The magnetic contact sensor detects door or window position (open/closed), while the integrated light sensor measures ambient lux levels. This data is processed on-board and transmitted via 2.4 GHz WiFi to the Tuya cloud, enabling real-time status updates and alerting.
Designed for smart home integration, the sensor facilitates complex automation rules without a separate hub. Its low-power design runs on two AAA batteries and includes power management for battery life alerts. The ABS plastic housing is rated for indoor residential environments.
