The LJ18A3-8-J/EZ inductive proximity sensor operates on the eddy-current principle, where an approaching ferrous metal target disturbs the sensor’s oscillating magnetic field, triggering a solid-state switch. This non-contact detection method ensures no physical wear, sparks, or pressure on the target, enabling high-speed, reliable operation in automated systems.
Engineered for industrial durability, the sensor’s brass-nickel plated body and IP65 sealing provide excellent resistance to vibration, oil, and particulate contamination. The integrated status LED facilitates quick diagnostics and installation verification in control panels or machinery.
