The LJ8A3-2-Z/AY operates on the inductive sensing principle, generating an electromagnetic field from its ABS sensing face. When a metallic object enters the 2mm detection zone, it causes a change in the oscillation amplitude, triggering the solid-state PNP output switch. This provides a reliable, wear-free alternative to mechanical limit switches.
Engineered for industrial durability, the sensor features a brass-nickel plated cylindrical body capable of withstanding oil, coolant, and particulate exposure, as certified by its IP65 ingress protection rating.
