The Asair AZDM01 turbidity sensor operates on a photoelectric principle, where an internal infrared LED emits light through a transparent measurement chamber. As liquid flows through, suspended particles scatter and attenuate the light, which is detected by a photosensitive element. This change in light intensity is converted into a corresponding analog voltage signal at the output terminal.
The module is engineered for stability and reliability in aqueous environments, featuring a waterproof housing that protects its internal electronics. With a fast response time and a sampling period of ≥100ms, it is suitable for real-time monitoring in various liquid processing systems, from aquaponics to industrial wastewater treatment.
