The LDT2-028K utilizes a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) piezoelectric film that generates a charge proportional to applied mechanical stress. This principle enables precise detection of vibrations, impacts, and bending motions. The sensor’s thin, flexible profile allows it to conform to surfaces or be mounted as a cantilever beam, altering its resonant frequency and sensitivity profile for different applications.
With a 2.85 nF capacitance, the sensor offers a fast electrical response time, making it suitable for dynamic, real-time monitoring. The included wire leads facilitate straightforward connection to signal conditioning circuits or data acquisition systems. Its unshielded design is optimized for high sensitivity in controlled environments.
