The XKC-Y28A-RS485 sensor operates on a capacitive sensing principle, detecting changes in the dielectric constant when a liquid is present on the opposite side of a non-metallic container wall. This non-invasive method ensures the liquid remains uncontaminated and protects the sensor from corrosive or viscous media.
Featuring an RS485 interface with Modbus protocol support, the sensor enables reliable data transmission over distances up to 1200 meters and allows for the daisy-chaining of multiple sensors on a single bus. Its IP67-rated enclosure provides robust protection against dust and temporary water immersion, supporting operation in harsh conditions from -20°C to +85°C and high humidity environments.
