Winsen MED-NH3 Electrochemical NH3 Gas Sensor – High Sensitivity Ammonia Detection
The Winsen MED-NH3 is an electrochemical gas sensor module designed for precise ammonia (NH3) concentration monitoring from 0-100ppm. It provides a linear current output proportional to gas concentration, suitable for integration into industrial safety systems, environmental monitoring stations, and HVAC control units.
Features
- Electrochemical sensing principle for accurate NH3 detection from 0-100ppm (max 200ppm).
- High sensitivity range of 80–160 µA/ppm with a resolution of 0.5ppm.
- Fast response time (T90 ≤ 60 seconds) for real-time monitoring applications.
- Stable performance with <10% repeatability and calibration-free operation.
- Robust design for industrial and environmental protection fields.

The Winsen MED-NH3 electrochemical gas sensor operates on the principle of target gas oxidation at a working electrode within an electrolytic cell. The resulting current is directly proportional to the ammonia concentration according to Faraday’s law, enabling precise ppm-level measurement. The module outputs an analog current signal corresponding to the detected gas level.
Engineered for durability, the sensor maintains stable performance across a wide operating temperature range and pressure variance. Its electrochemical design ensures high selectivity for ammonia, minimizing cross-sensitivity with other common gases, making it ideal for long-term deployment in demanding industrial and environmental monitoring scenarios.
