Description

The PX4FLOW V1.3.1 Optical Flow Sensor Smart Camera is a specialized vision module designed for high-frequency motion estimation in autonomous vehicles and robotics. Its core is a powerful STM32F407 microcontroller, featuring a floating-point unit, which processes frames from the onboard MT9V034 global shutter sensor at rates up to 250 Hz. This architecture allows it to calculate optical flow vectors with high precision, even in challenging indoor or low-light outdoor environments without auxiliary illumination.

Power management is optimized for embedded deployment, drawing only 115mA from a standard 5V supply. The module integrates a L3GD20 MEMS gyroscope, enabling sensor fusion to correct for body rotation and improve the accuracy of the derived ground-relative velocity. The compact 49mm x 38mm form factor and standard M12 lens mount make it ideal for integration into drone flight controllers, robotic platforms, and any system requiring robust, low-latency visual odometry.
