The MQ303A alcohol sensor utilizes a semiconductor sensing element whose conductivity increases in the presence of alcohol vapor. This change in conductivity is converted into a corresponding output signal via a simple external drive circuit, allowing for both threshold-based digital detection and proportional analog measurement.
Housed in a standard metal encapsulation, the sensor is designed for stable operation and long service life. It is calibrated for optimal performance at 20°C ±2°C and 55% ±5% relative humidity, making it suitable for integration into portable detectors and fixed monitoring systems requiring reliable alcohol vapor detection.
