The Waveshare Core1262 HF module is a dedicated LoRa core built around the advanced Semtech SX1262 RF IC. This next-generation chipset offers significant improvements in current consumption and link budget over legacy designs, enabling more robust and power-efficient sensor nodes for IoT deployments. The module is factory-configured for the EU868 band, making it ready for LoRaWAN network integration with gateways and cloud servers like The Things Network.
Its architecture is optimized for low-duty-cycle applications, with a receiving current of just 5.3mA and a transmit current of 45mA at 14dBm output power. Communication is handled via a standard SPI interface, providing developers with direct control over modulation settings, RF power, and packet formatting.
