The XBee 3 Pro Module consolidates the legacy of its predecessors into a powerful, multi-protocol wireless node. It operates on the 2.4GHz band, providing developers with a single hardware platform capable of implementing 802.15.4 networks, Zigbee mesh topologies, and Bluetooth Low Energy connections. This flexibility is ideal for prototyping and deploying scalable IoT systems.
At its core is an HCS08 microcontroller, enabling the module to run custom MicroPython scripts directly, reducing the need for an external host processor in many applications. The module’s high +19 dBm transmit power and excellent -103 dBm receiver sensitivity ensure reliable communication over significant distances, from indoor deployments to long-range outdoor links.
