The Waveshare ESP32-C6 AMOLED Touch Development Board is a compact, feature-rich platform engineered for next-generation smart IoT devices and human-machine interfaces. At its core is the Espressif ESP32-C6, a 32-bit RISC-V single-core microcontroller capable of 160MHz operation, which integrates modern wireless standards including Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5 Low Energy, and IEEE 802.15.4 for Zigbee 3.0 and Thread protocols. This multi-radio capability makes it a versatile hub for connected home automation, industrial control, and mesh networking applications.
The board’s standout feature is its high-quality 2.16-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, driven by a CO5300 controller via QSPI interface. With a resolution of 480×480 pixels, 16.7 million colors, and a high brightness of 600 cd/m², it provides a superior visual experience for status dashboards, control panels, or wearable device interfaces. Advanced power management via the AXP2101 chip supports efficient operation from a 3.7V lithium battery (sold separately), with dedicated sleep modes to extend battery life in field deployments.
Beyond the display, the board incorporates a comprehensive suite of peripherals for AI and interactive projects. A dual-microphone array paired with an ES7210 ADC and ES8311 audio codec enables clear voice capture and playback for AI assistants. The onboard QMI8658 6-axis IMU (accelerometer and gyroscope) and PCF85063 real-time clock add motion sensing and timekeeping capabilities. With exposed I2C and UART interfaces, a microSD (TF) card slot for data logging, and an onboard 2.4GHz antenna, it offers a complete, solderless solution for rapid prototyping of sophisticated embedded systems.
