Seeed Studio Studio Grove TDS Sensor/Meter For Water Quality - Analog Output, Waterproof Probe
The Seeed Studio Studio Grove TDS Sensor is an analog-output module for measuring Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in water up to 1000 ppm. Designed for easy integration with 3.3V/5V systems like Arduino and Raspberry Pi, it features a waterproof probe for direct liquid immersion.
Features
- Measures Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) from 0 to 1000 ppm.
- Analog output signal (0~2.3V) for straightforward ADC reading.
- Dual-voltage operation compatible with 3.3V and 5V logic systems.
- Includes a 60cm long waterproof TDS probe for direct immersion.
- Grove standardized connector for plug-and-play prototyping.

The Grove TDS Sensor operates on the principle of electrical conductivity measurement. The waterproof probe, containing two electrodes, applies an alternating voltage to the water sample. The sensor measures the resulting current, which correlates to the concentration of dissolved ionic solids, and outputs a proportional analog voltage signal. This signal can be read directly by a microcontroller’s ADC pin for water quality assessment.
The module itself is designed for benchtop or enclosure mounting, while the separate probe is rated for immersion in static water. It is engineered for stability in typical aqueous environments, with clear operating limits to ensure sensor longevity and accurate readings. The integrated power LED provides clear operational status.
