The Panasonic EKMC1604113 is a high-reliability pyroelectric infrared (PIR) motion sensor module. It detects low-wavelength infrared radiation (around 10µm) emitted by moving objects, such as humans, by sensing temperature differentials as small as 3°C relative to the ambient environment. An internal window comparator evaluates changes in the IR level, switching the digital output high to trigger external control circuitry.
Engineered for industrial and commercial applications, the sensor features an enclosed sensing circuit for a high signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio and stability. Its compact form factor, low power consumption, and integrated Saturn-style lens make it a plug-and-play solution for motion-activated systems, saving significant design and integration time.
