PST CT20W Tuya Smart WiFi Wall Mounted PIR Alarm - 110° Detection, 9-12m Range, Pet Immune

No, the PST CT20W has built-in WiFi (2.4GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n) and connects directly to your home network. It communicates directly with the Tuya Smart app on your smartphone without requiring an additional hub or gateway.

The pet immunity feature is designed to minimize false alarms caused by small pets. It uses a combination of a specialized Fresnel lens that segments the detection zone and internal signal processing algorithms to ignore motion from animals weighing under approximately 25kg (55 lbs).

The sensor offers dual power options. For primary operation, you can use the included plug-in DC power adapter. For backup or wireless placement, it accepts 2x AAA 1.5V batteries. Battery life varies based on usage and alarm triggers but typically lasts several months under normal conditions.

Yes, you can fully automate the sensor's armed state using the Tuya Smart app. You can create schedules to automatically arm (activate) and disarm (deactivate) the sensor at specific times of the day or on certain days of the week, providing hands-free security management.

Upon detecting motion within its configured range, the sensor triggers a multi-stage alarm: it activates a built-in >80dB audible siren, flashes its integrated LED lights, and sends an instant push notification to your smartphone via the Tuya Smart app. All these alerts occur simultaneously.
