M5Stack Audio Module (STM32G030)

Description

The M5Stack Audio Module is a dedicated audio expansion board designed for the M5Stack ecosystem, built around the ES8388 audio codec for high-quality audio capture and playback. It integrates an STM32G030F6P6 microcontroller to manage complex tasks like TRRS jack insertion detection and driving the onboard RGB status LEDs, offloading processing from the main host unit.

This module supports dual-channel microphone input and a single-channel stereo headphone output via its two 3.5mm audio jacks. Its intelligent register configuration allows for automatic switching between CTIA (American) and OMTP (International) headset wiring standards, making it compatible with a wide range of headsets with integrated microphones for global applications.
