Description
This IR remote control is a precision 38 kHz infrared transmitter built around a MOS integrated circuit utilizing the NEC transmission protocol. It generates a modulated IR carrier signal ideally suited for remote operation of TVs, VCDs, and any device with a compatible 38kHz IR receiver. The circuit’s oscillation frequency is determined by a 455kHz crystal, and the IR LEDs emit pulsed IR rays at the standard 38kHz frequency required by most common IR sensor modules.
The remote features an ultra-thin form factor (86 x 40 x 6 mm) and is engineered for durability, with buttons offering a lifecycle exceeding 200,000 actuations. It outputs a digital signal using the NEC format, which includes leader codes, a 16-bit custom code (00FF), and a 16-bit data code, making it directly usable with microcontroller platforms like Arduino for custom IR control projects. Note: The CR2032 battery is not included due to shipping restrictions.
