Description

This Arduino-compatible Nano V3.0 microcontroller is a small, complete development board based on the ATmega328P MCU. It delivers functionality comparable to the Arduino Duemilanove, but in a significantly smaller package, making it ideal for space-constrained projects. The Nano V3.0 ATmega328P, operating at 5V and 16MHz, features a CH340 Type-C USB interface, ensuring full compatibility with Arduino programs and the Arduino IDE for seamless development.

The board offers flexible power options, capable of accepting an unregulated external supply between 6V and 20V via pin 30 (Vin) or a regulated 5V external supply via pin 27 (5V). The power source is automatically selected to utilize the highest available voltage. Its integrated CH340G USB bus converter chip ensures reliable communication and programming, serving as a modern and robust alternative to older FT232RL designs.

Designed with user flexibility in mind, this board is supplied with connector pins (headers) that are not pre-soldered. This allows for customized integration and mounting tailored to specific project needs. The Nano V3.0 also supports In-System Programming (ISP) download, further enhancing its utility for advanced firmware development and deployment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What power supply options are available for the Nano V3.0 ATmega328P CH340 Type-C board?

This board supports flexible power input. You can use an unregulated external DC supply between 7-12V (max 20V) via the Vin pin, or a regulated 5V supply through the 5V pin. The board automatically selects the highest voltage source, ensuring reliable operation for your projects.

How does the CH340G USB-to-serial converter benefit this Nano V3.0 board?

The CH340G chip provides a modern and stable USB serial communication interface for the ATmega328P, utilizing a Type-C connector. This ensures broad compatibility with current computers and robust data transfer during programming and serial monitoring, replacing older and less common FT232RL components for improved reliability.

Is the Nano V3.0 ATmega328P CH340 Type-C compatible with the standard Arduino IDE?

Yes, this board is fully compatible with the Arduino IDE, allowing you to use existing Arduino sketches and libraries. You will likely need to install the CH340 driver for your operating system to enable serial communication, but programming and uploading code function identically to official Arduino Nano boards.

What are the main differences between this Nano V3.0 and an official Arduino Nano?

This Nano V3.0 uses a CH340G USB-to-serial converter instead of the FTDI FT232RL found on older official versions, and features a Type-C port. While it provides identical functionality and pinout to the ATmega328P-based official Nano, it is typically a more cost-effective clone.
