This sensor utilizes a MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) metal oxide (MOX) sensing element from the MiCS-4514 series. The onboard signal conditioning circuit provides a stable, digital I2C output, simplifying integration and reducing noise compared to analog sensors. The module includes pre-loaded algorithms for converting sensor resistance readings into estimated gas concentrations in parts per million (ppm) for the target gases.
Designed for durability in varied environments, it operates across a broad temperature and humidity range. The compact PCB format includes mounting holes for secure installation in air quality monitors, safety equipment, and environmental sensing nodes.
