Description
The Arducam IMX477 IR-CUT Camera Module is engineered for developers requiring advanced vision capabilities on the NVIDIA Jetson edge AI platform. It utilizes the same high-performance 12.3-megapixel Sony IMX477 sensor found in the Raspberry Pi HQ Camera but integrates a key differentiator: an automatic mechanical IR-cut filter. This intelligent filter physically moves in or out of the optical path, allowing the module to capture vibrant, true-to-life color images in daylight while remaining sensitive to infrared light for night vision or specialized spectral applications when illumination is low.
Connection is established through a robust 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 interface, ensuring high-bandwidth, low-latency data transfer to the Jetson’s ISP for real-time image processing. The included 6mm CS-mount lens provides a versatile starting point for various fields of view, and the CS thread allows for easy lens swaps to meet specific focal length or aperture requirements. This module is ideal for building sophisticated AI vision systems, from smart surveillance and robotics to industrial inspection and agricultural monitoring, where adaptive imaging under changing light conditions is critical.
