Description
The Amotech Labs 8051 Development Board provides a dedicated hardware environment for mastering the classic 8051 microcontroller architecture. It is designed around a 40-pin DIP socket, default populated with an AT89S52 featuring 8KB Flash and 256 bytes RAM, operating at frequencies up to 33MHz. The board integrates essential peripherals including a 4×4 Matrix keypad, a seven-segment display driver interface, and dedicated connections for an ADC0804 analog-to-digital converter, enabling real-world sensor interfacing and data acquisition projects.
Power is supplied via a modern USB Type-C connector, delivering a stable +5V rail. An integrated In-System Programming (ISP) header allows for direct firmware flashing without removing the MCU, streamlining the development cycle. With 32 configurable I/O lines across four ports, two tactile input buttons, and expansion headers for LCDs and additional I/O, this board serves as a complete lab for students, hobbyists, and engineers to build and debug embedded systems, from basic GPIO control to complex state machines and communication protocols.
