Generic Tilt Sensor Vibration Alarm Switch Module - SW-460D/SW-520D Sensor, LM393 Comparator, Digital Output
This tilt and vibration alarm switch module integrates a SW-460D/SW-520D ball-rolling sensor with an LM393 comparator for reliable digital output, compatible with 3.3V and 5V systems like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers for angle detection and motion sensing.
Features
- Digital output (HIGH/LOW) indicates tilt or vibration state via an onboard LM393 comparator.
- Utilizes a SW-460D or SW-520D ball-rolling tilt sensor with a wide detection angle range (approx. 45° to 130°).
- Wide operating voltage range from 3.3V to 5V DC for compatibility with common development boards.
- Compact module design (30mm x 14mm) includes a mounting hole for secure installation.
- Features power and status LEDs for immediate visual feedback on module operation.

This module is designed for basic tilt and vibration detection in electronic projects. It employs a mechanical ball-rolling sensor (SW-460D/SW-520D) that triggers a state change when the module orientation exceeds a threshold angle or experiences sufficient vibration. The sensor’s signal is conditioned by an LM393 voltage comparator, providing a clean digital output signal suitable for direct connection to microcontroller GPIO pins.
The output logic is LOW in the normal (untilted) position and switches to HIGH when tilted or vibrated beyond the set threshold. The activation angle is influenced by the angular velocity and can be adjusted slightly via the onboard potentiometer for sensitivity tuning. The module is engineered for simple integration into alarm systems, robotics, and device orientation monitoring.
