Pro-Range PR12-P120-100-1/8 Pressure Transducer, 0-100 psi, 0.5-4.5V Output, NPT1/8 Thread

The PR12-P120-100-1/8 transducer is designed for a 5V DC supply. This single supply rail powers the internal sensing and signal conditioning circuitry to generate the standard 0.5–4.5V ratiometric output signal.

Connect the output pin directly to an analog input (ADC) pin on your microcontroller. Since the output is ratiometric to the 5V supply, scaling is straightforward: 0.5V corresponds to 0 psi, and 4.5V corresponds to 100 psi. Ensure your microcontroller's ADC reference is also set to 5V for accurate measurement.

While primarily designed for non-corrosive, dry air or gases, the sensor's construction may be compatible with certain liquids. The key limitation is material compatibility; the wetted parts must resist the measured medium. For liquid applications, verify material specs and consider media compatibility to prevent sensor damage.

This transducer features a standard NPT1/8 (National Pipe Taper) male thread. You will need a corresponding NPT1/8 female port or adapter to install it into your system. Use appropriate thread sealant (e.g., PTFE tape) on the male threads to ensure a pressure-tight, leak-proof seal.

The sensor is factory calibrated, providing high accuracy typical of piezoresistive transducers. For critical applications, a two-point calibration (zero and span) against a known pressure standard can be performed to optimize accuracy. Long-term stability is excellent, but periodic verification is recommended in precision systems.
