The sensor provides an NPN (sinking) transistor output. You will connect the brown wire to your positive DC supply (10-30V), the blue wire to the DC common/ground, and the black wire is the switched output. The black wire will sink current to ground when an object is detected, allowing it to control a PLC input, relay coil, or other load up to 150mA.

As a diffuse reflective sensor, it relies on light scattering back from the target's surface. Highly transparent objects (like clear glass) or specularly reflective surfaces (like mirrors) may not scatter sufficient light back to the receiver, potentially causing detection failures. It is best suited for detecting opaque, matte-finished objects within its 30mm range.

The 120Hz response frequency indicates the maximum speed at which the sensor can reliably detect objects and toggle its output. It means the sensor can detect up to 120 objects per second, making it suitable for high-speed counting or timing applications on fast-moving production lines.

Mount the sensor securely using its M4 threaded body. For optimal performance, ensure the target object passes within the 30mm sensing distance and is perpendicular to the sensor's face. The small sensing spot requires precise alignment; the included screwdriver can be used to adjust mounting hardware. Avoid mounting near strong ambient light sources that could interfere with the laser.
