The HS-S43A Touch Sensing Sensor operates on capacitive sensing principles, detecting changes in capacitance when a conductive object, such as a human finger, approaches its gold-plated contact surface. This allows for reliable touch detection not only through direct contact but also through non-conductive overlays of specified thickness.
The module features a configurable output mode, selectable via a solder Jumper, allowing it to function as a latching switch or a momentary button. Its compact design and PH2.0 connector facilitate straightforward integration into control systems, DIY electronics, and embedded projects requiring touch-based input without mechanical wear.
