RAKwireless WisGate Edge Lite 2 RAK7268V2 Gateway (Non-LTE, White, RAK2287, IN865)

This gateway variant is specifically configured for the IN865 LoRaWAN frequency plan, which operates from 865 MHz to 867 MHz. It is intended for deployment in India and other regions that have adopted this band. The firmware and hardware are optimized for these frequencies and are not easily converted to other regional plans like EU868 or US915 without significant modification.

Connect a standard 12V DC power adapter to the gateway's barrel jack or use a Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector/switch on the Ethernet port. For initial configuration, connect your computer to the gateway's Ethernet port or join its pre-configured Wi-Fi access point. Open a web browser and navigate to the default IP address (check the label or documentation) to access the web management interface, where you can set up internet backhaul (Ethernet/Wi-Fi client) and connect to a LoRaWAN Network Server like The Things Stack or ChirpStack.

You will need an external LoRa antenna tuned for the IN865 band (865-867 MHz) with an SMA male connector. A typical 3dBi or 5dBi gain omnidirectional antenna is suitable for most deployments. Screw the antenna onto the SMA female connector on the gateway's enclosure. Ensure the antenna is placed vertically and in a clear location for optimal range. The gateway's internal Wi-Fi uses a separate, integrated antenna and does not require external connection.
