Description

The M5Stack ESP32-H2 Gateway Module is a dedicated development platform for the next generation of interoperable smart home and industrial IoT networks. Built around the Espressif ESP32-H2-MINI-1 system-on-chip, it combines a low-power 32-bit RISC-V processor with a fully integrated IEEE 802.15.4 transceiver. This hardware foundation natively supports the Zigbee 3.0, Thread, and Matter (over Thread) wireless standards, enabling developers to create border routers, coordinators, and endpoint devices that bridge ecosystems.

Engineered for modular prototyping, the board features the standard M5Bus connector for vertical stacking with M5Core hosts, sensor units, and display modules. Its onboard DIP switch provides direct hardware control over communication interfaces, streamlining mode configuration. The integrated hardware cryptographic accelerator offloads encryption tasks from the main CPU, ensuring robust security for authentication and data packets without compromising system performance or power efficiency.
