Description

The Arducam 8MP IMX219 NOIR V2 Camera Module is engineered for Raspberry Pi-based vision projects requiring operation in low-light or complete darkness. By omitting the standard IR-cut filter, the Sony IMX219 sensor becomes highly receptive to infrared wavelengths, allowing scenes to be illuminated with IR LEDs without visible light.

This module maintains the full 8-megapixel resolution and imaging capabilities of the standard V2 camera, ensuring compatibility with Raspberry Pi OS camera software stacks like libcamera and Picamera2. The fixed-focus lens and compact form factor make it a plug-and-play upgrade for adding night vision to security systems, environmental monitoring stations, or DIY bio-observation setups.
