Winsen ME4-CO CO Gas Sensor Electrochemical Module
The Winsen ME4-CO is an electrochemical carbon monoxide (CO) gas sensor module designed for industrial and environmental monitoring. It provides a 0-1000 ppm detection range with a linear current output proportional to gas concentration, suitable for integration into safety systems, PLCs, and data loggers.
Features
- Electrochemical sensing principle for precise carbon monoxide (CO) detection.
- Wide detection range from 0 to 1000 ppm (maximum 1500 ppm).
- Fast response time (T90) of ≤25 seconds for timely hazard alerts.
- High sensitivity of (0.080±0.02) µA/ppm with 1 ppm resolution.
- Stable performance with <5% signal drift per month and a 2-year operational life.

The Winsen ME4-CO sensor employs a constant potential electrolysis (fuel cell) principle. Carbon monoxide undergoes an oxidation-reduction reaction at the working electrode, while a corresponding reaction occurs at the counter electrode, generating a current directly proportional to the CO concentration. This analog signal provides a precise and reliable measurement of gas levels.
Engineered for industrial durability, the module operates across a -20°C to 50°C temperature range and 15% to 90% RH humidity. Its robust design ensures stable performance under standard atmospheric pressure ±10%, making it a critical component for long-term monitoring and safety applications where reliable CO detection is paramount.
