Description

The Waveshare Raspberry Pi IR-CUT Camera Module integrates a 1/4-inch OV5647 CMOS sensor with a mechanically actuated IR-CUT filter, enabling seamless transition between full-color daylight imaging and high-sensitivity monochrome night vision. It connects directly to the Raspberry Pi’s Camera Serial Interface (CSI), positioned between the audio jack and HDMI port, and is compatible with all Pi revisions including the Pi Zero and Compute Module.

This module is engineered for continuous operation in smart security, wildlife monitoring, and IoT vision systems. The removable IR filter physically moves aside in low-light conditions, allowing infrared light to reach the sensor, which is illuminated by the included IR LED boards. The lens offers a 50-degree diagonal field of view with manual focus adjustment, while the board provides screw mounting points and a dedicated 3.3V output to power additional external IR illuminators.
