The Teltonika RUT241 Industrial 4G eSIM Router is a compact, high-reliability networking device engineered for industrial IoT and machine-to-machine (M2M) applications. Its core architecture is built around a 580 MHz Mediatek CPU with 128 MB RAM and 16 MB flash, running the feature-rich RutOS firmware. This provides a stable platform for advanced routing, multiple VPN protocols (OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard), and a configurable firewall.
Connectivity is centered on 4G LTE Cat 4 with fallback to 3G/2G networks, ensuring continuous data backhaul. The router’s standout feature is its integrated eSIM supporting the SGP.22 standard alongside a physical SIM slot, allowing for seamless carrier switching and redundancy. The device supports passive Power over Ethernet (PoE) on its LAN port, simplifying installation in remote locations. Designed for harsh conditions, its metal enclosure and wide operating temperature range make it suitable for outdoor cabinets, vehicle telematics, and industrial automation.
