Description
The SM-ESP32E module is a cost-effective, surface-mount solution built around Espressif’s ESP32-D0WD-V3 SoC. It provides robust dual-band 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and dual-mode Bluetooth connectivity, making it suitable for a broad spectrum of IoT applications from simple sensor nodes to more complex devices involving audio streaming or local AI inference. The module operates from a 3.3V supply and is designed for low-power operation, supporting various sleep modes to extend battery life in field deployments.
Its integrated PCB antenna simplifies RF design and reduces BOM cost, while the exposed peripheral interfaces allow direct connection to sensors, displays, and actuators. The module is fully supported by Espressif’s ESP-IDF framework, Arduino core, and MicroPython, offering a flexible development path for both rapid prototyping and volume production. The 4MB of external flash provides ample space for application code, file systems, and Over-The-Air (OTA) update capabilities.
