Description
The Reyax RYLR999 module is a compact, industrial-grade wireless transceiver designed for developers building long-range, low-power IoT sensor networks that require a bridge between local Bluetooth connectivity and wide-area LoRa backhaul. It features two completely independent radio cores: a Semtech LoRa engine operating in the 868/915 MHz ISM bands and a Nordic Semiconductor Semiconductor-based BLE 5.0 radio on 2.4 GHz. Each radio has its own dedicated UART interface (115200 bps, 8-N-1), allowing for separate microcontroller connections and AT command control for configuring output power, frequency, data rate, and operating mode.
This architecture enables several deployment patterns. The module can function as a pure LoRa node, a BLE peripheral/gateway, or a transparent bridge where data received on the BLE UART is automatically packetized and transmitted via LoRa, and vice-versa. The high +30 dBm LoRa output power, coupled with its excellent -133 dBm receiver sensitivity, ensures reliable communication over several kilometers in open terrain. The BLE side’s boosted +20 dBm output extends typical Bluetooth range significantly, making it suitable for local device commissioning, configuration via smartphone, or data aggregation from BLE sensors.
