Pro-Range PRTYWS-K050 0-5m Liquid Level Sensor - 4-20mA Output

The sensor provides a standard 2-wire 4-20mA analog output. Connect the positive supply wire (10-32 VDC) to the sensor's positive terminal, and connect the sensor's negative terminal to your PLC or data acquisition system's analog input. The current loop will be completed through the input, with the 4-20mA signal proportional to the 0-5m liquid level.

The Pro-Range PRTYWS-K050 is designed for use with non-corrosive liquids such as water, oil, and similar media. The sensor's wetted materials are corrosion-resistant, but it is not suitable for highly corrosive chemicals, abrasive slurries, or media that could damage the pressure sensing diaphragm. Always verify chemical compatibility for your specific application.

The sensor operates on a wide 10-32 VDC power supply range. The 4-20mA output is a current loop, meaning the signal is independent of supply voltage within this range, provided the connected load (the input impedance of your receiver) does not exceed the maximum loop voltage drop. Ensure your power supply can deliver sufficient voltage to overcome the total loop resistance.

Install the sensor vertically at the bottom of the tank using appropriate fittings for its 28.2mm diameter body, ensuring the pressure port is exposed to the liquid. Factory calibration is typically provided for a 0-5m water column. For precise calibration, submerge the sensor to known depths (e.g., 0m and 5m) and verify the corresponding 4mA and 20mA outputs on your monitoring system, adjusting scaling parameters as needed.
