Description
The Generic Nano R3 development board, equipped with the ATmega328P-AU microcontroller, provides a powerful and compact alternative to larger Arduino boards like the Uno. Its smaller footprint makes it highly suitable for projects where space is a constraint, while retaining core functionalities. This version utilizes a CH340 USB-to-serial converter, offering an economical solution for USB communication and programming compared to older FTDI-based designs.
Powering the Nano R3 is versatile, supporting input via its mini-USB port, an unregulated external supply ranging from 6-20V connected to pin 30, or a regulated 5V external supply via pin 27. The board intelligently selects the highest available voltage source. It comes pre-installed with an old bootloader and supports ISP downloading, facilitating easy program uploads through the Arduino IDE once the necessary CH340 drivers are installed. The unsoldered headers allow for custom integration into breadboards or PCBs.
