The LJC30A3-H-Z/BX utilizes a capacitive sensing field to detect the presence of dielectric materials such as plastics, glass, wood, liquids, and powders, distinguishing it from inductive sensors which only detect metals. Its NPN open-collector output switches to ground when a target is detected, providing a clean digital signal for machine control.
