KSD301 Ceramic Temperature Controlled Switch Thermostat - Normally Closed NC, 50°C, 250V 16A
The KSD301 is a ceramic-housed, normally closed (NC) thermal switch designed for precise temperature control up to 50°C in electrical circuits, rated for 250V AC and 16A loads. It provides a reliable, snap-action mechanical cutoff for applications requiring over-temperature protection.
Features
- Ceramic housing for electrical insulation and thermal stability
- Normally Closed (NC) contact opens at the set 50°C temperature
- High current rating of 16A at 250V AC for robust load control
- Fixed 50°C (±5°C typical) actuation temperature
- Compact and durable mechanical thermostat design

The KSD301 is a bimetallic disc-type thermostat, where a temperature-sensitive bimetal element mechanically opens or closes an electrical contact. At the calibrated setpoint of 50°C, the bimetal disc snaps, opening the normally closed contacts to break the circuit, providing fail-safe over-temperature protection.
Housed in a ceramic body, the switch offers excellent electrical isolation, flame resistance, and long-term stability under thermal cycling. This design is suited for integration into appliances, power supplies, transformers, and heating elements where a simple, reliable, and cost-effective thermal cutoff is required.
