The KSD301 is a bimetallic disc thermostat housed in a durable ceramic body. Its operation is based on the differential thermal expansion of two bonded metals, which causes a snap-action mechanism to physically open the electrical contacts when the setpoint temperature (110°C) is exceeded. This provides a reliable, resettable means of over-temperature protection without requiring external power or complex electronics.
Designed for direct series connection with the load, its 16A/250V rating makes it suitable for protecting heating elements, motors, transformers, and other AC line-powered equipment. The ceramic material offers excellent dielectric strength, heat resistance, and long-term stability under repeated thermal cycling, ensuring consistent trip performance and safety isolation.
