The J-50S shaft encoder utilizes a robust optical sensing principle with a shatter-proof polycarbonate disk, providing precise rotary position feedback. Its ASIC-based design incorporates LED power compensation to maintain signal integrity and accuracy despite component aging and operating temperature fluctuations from -20°C to +70°C (up to +100°C for IP50 variant).
Engineered for industrial environments, the encoder’s die-cast housing and gland seals provide IEC60529 IP50/IP54 protection. It is built to withstand significant mechanical stress, including vibration resistance of 10G (10-2000Hz) and shock resistance of 100G for 6ms, making it suitable for integration with induction motors and other high-inertia rotating machinery.
