The ESP-WROOM-32 module is a highly integrated System-on-Chip (SoC) solution built around the Espressif ESP32 microcontroller. It combines a dual-core processor with advanced RF capabilities, including 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi supporting 802.11 b/g/n protocols and dual-mode Bluetooth (Classic and BLE 4.2). This integration allows developers to create robust wireless nodes for sensor networks, home automation, and audio applications without external transceivers.
Power management is a core strength, with multiple sleep modes enabling operation at currents as low as 5 microamps, making it suitable for long-term deployments on battery or solar power. The module’s 30-pin castellated edge provides access to a rich set of peripherals, including GPIOs, ADCs, DACs, and serial interfaces.
