DFRobot Fermion MEMS Gas Sensor - MiCS-2714 Breakout Module
The DFRobot Fermion MiCS-2714 breakout module is a MEMS-based gas sensor providing analog voltage output for detecting hydrogen (H2) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) concentrations, designed for easy integration with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other 5V microcontroller platforms.
Features
- MEMS-based sensor detects Hydrogen (H2: 1–1000 ppm) and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2: 0.05–10 ppm).
- Analog voltage output for direct connection to microcontroller ADC pins.
- Low-power design with enable/disable pin for power management in portable applications.
- Wide operating range from -30°C to 85°C and 5–95% RH (non-condensing).
- Compact breakout board (12mm x 16mm) with 2mm mounting holes for secure installation.

The MiCS-2714 utilizes advanced MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) technology for precise gas concentration detection. Its metal-oxide sensing element changes resistance in the presence of target gases, with the onboard circuit conditioning this signal into a stable analog voltage output proportional to concentration.
Designed for robust environmental monitoring, the sensor operates across a wide temperature and humidity range, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. The breakout board simplifies interfacing by providing clearly labeled pins for 5V power, ground, analog output, and a digital enable pin, facilitating integration into data loggers, safety systems, and air quality monitors.
